Late Ozona woman's mother compiles tribute book

...  In a December 2008 interview with The Suncoast News, Tanya outlined her plan to use her artistic talents to help the homeless by forming an artist cooperative in Ozona. At that time, fresh of a long voyage aboard the HMS Bounty, she said she did not know where her degree in anthropology, her love of sailing or her art would take her.

"My art focuses on where I am standing now and where I have been," she said at the time. "My life is so rich and I want to share that."
